Book 4 of the 18 day book challenge: a book that taught you something important.

This book taught me that sometimes you have to make things happen, that the best opportunities won’t just fall from the sky. A lot if the books i was reading around this time were about things happening to people— a girl falls through a crack in the kitchen floor and finds fairyland, a girl gets kidnapped as a baby and trained to be a spy— but Alanna had to make herself a knight. She had to disguise herself and train hard and kick butt to get there. I think that’s one of the most important lessons i could’ve learned in my early life, especially since I’m more of a dreamer than a doer.

Aang’s all grown up

I really enjoyed this.

Our portrayals of adult Aang up to this point had always been so serious. We though this was a perfect opportunity to show that deep down he was still the same fun-loving trickster. P.S. Ryu drew both of these, something like 9 years apart! P.P.S. I *JUST* noticed Sokka’s hair is colored incorrectly in that still. The top part is colored like his shaved sides. Is it too late to call a retake on footage we made in 2004?

This is proof that parlor tricks, when done well, redirect the eye away from reverse Sokka hair.
